Sanlorenzo Immersive Experience at SKD

In March, St Katharine Docks Marina played host to the Italian boat builder Sanlorenzo Yachts. In the wake of its global launch at the Dusseldorf Boat Show, the new SL90A arrived in London for its UK debut, taking centre-stage at the Docks for what was described as the ‘Sanlorenzo Immersive Experience’.

For just over 2 weeks, the historic site’s Coronarium Building was reimagined by its UK Southampton-based agents, Sanlorenzo Yachts UK, and welcomed owners, prospective owners, business partners and yachting enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the Italian shipyard’s design innovation, artisan craftmanship and limitless customisation. The building’s centre piece was a chandelier, worth over £14k, typical of all sales offices across the motoryacht brand.

Personifying elegance and style, the eye-catching 28-metre SL90A quickly became a focal point of the centre basin. It was designed by Bernado Zuccon and built by Sanlorenzo at its Ameglia base on the Ligurian coast of Italy. The ‘A’ representing its asymmetric side decks providing a spacious and clever interior, with its builder claiming, ‘it breaks the mould compared to others in her class, while remaining under the important 24-metre hull length’. Beautifully specified with a light and modern interior using different wood, marble, and fabric textures, the flybridge motoryacht model can accommodate up to eight guests in four extremely well-appointed staterooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom.
